Mom, Mommy, <\/span>Mum, Mama, Ma \u2013<\/span> so many words to for Mother. <\/span> The definition of the verb \u201cto mother\u201d \u2013 to bring up a child with care and affection \u2013 <\/span>captures well what we think of when we think of Mothers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mothers wo<\/span>rk tirelessly to provide a tidy<\/span> and ordered house, to make sure we have clean clothes and yummy meals \"bigstock-Mom-and-son-having-fun-togethe-11264222\"<\/a>and all we need for school. But even more importantly, they ar<\/span>e always there to listen to us or <\/span>to give a hug if n<\/span>eeded<\/span>. <\/span>No matter how old you are, if you are down or really sick, you get that twinge of wanting your mommy. Wow. That is pretty special and deserves our thoughtful thanks!<\/span><\/p>\n

What Mom really wants<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Designing a thoughtful Mother\u2019s Day <\/span>means recognising what Mom really wants <\/span>(<\/span>or needs<\/span>!) <\/span>and then making it happen. <\/span>Most moms would likely say that it would be wonderful to have a<\/span> clean house, a bit of extra sleep, a break from preparing food or doing the laundry and the <\/span>Holy Gra<\/span>il<\/span> \u2026. <\/span>a<\/span> bit of quiet! <\/span><\/p>\n

Think you cracked it? Does lunch out<\/span>,<\/span> so Mom does not have to make the big Sunday meal<\/span>,<\/span> sound like just the ticket? Not so fast; think it through! Does eating ou<\/span>t mean<\/span> that Mom has to chase restless kids around the restaurant for a couple of hours? Yep \u2013 think again! Maybe <\/span>a meal in (prepared by someone other than Mom) is the way to go. Whatever you decide, be sure to take the time to think it through from Mom\u2019s perspective so you can really get it right. <\/span><\/p>\n

And don\u2019t forget the <\/span>Card!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s Day is not complete without a card from the kids. Dad or the Nanny should make sure to give enough time<\/span> for the kids to <\/span>do something really special \u2013 both in design and words. Give the planning and the card the same special attention Mom gives you all year round.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s hear it for Moms!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
