Overly 100,000 actually! <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E325\"><span id=\"E326\">But any new Mom (or Dad) who h<\/span><span id=\"E327\">as tried to get through a<\/span><span id=\"E328\"> pile of \u2018how to guides\u2019 before the new little one arrives will <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.sosgarde.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Thinking-about-hiring-a-nanny-.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1368\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.sosgarde.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Thinking-about-hiring-a-nanny--300x251.png\" alt=\"Thinking about hiring a nanny?\" width=\"300\" height=\"251\" \/><\/a>tell you the same thing: nothing prepares you for the reality of a new baby. Worse, advice in one book is<\/span><span id=\"E329\"> often<\/span><span id=\"E330\"> contradicted <\/span><span id=\"E331\">by<\/span><span id=\"E332\"> advice in another book! What is a new Mom to do?<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E333\"><span id=\"E334\">For those who have hired an experienced Nanny, you have a great <\/span><span id=\"E335\">living and breathing resource at your fingertips. <\/span><span id=\"E336\">For those who do not have the benefit of a Nanny\u2019s sup<\/span><span id=\"E337\">port, we have compiled our top five<\/span><span id=\"E338\"> <\/span><span id=\"E339\">pieces of advice from Nannies for<\/span><span id=\"E340\"> new Moms:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li id=\"E341\" class=\"qowt-li-3_0 qowt-list qowt-stl-ListParagraph\"><span id=\"E342\">Mother\u2019s intuition is real.<\/span><span id=\"E343\"> Learn to listen to and trust your inner voice and instincts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E345\" class=\"qowt-li-3_0 qowt-list qowt-stl-ListParagraph\"><span id=\"E346\">Crying is okay.<\/span><span id=\"E347\"> Babies cry to communicate and you will begin to understand <\/span><span id=\"E348\">what different cries mean. Oh \u2013 and you can cry too. It is a health<\/span><span id=\"E349\">y<\/span><span id=\"E350\"> release!<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E352\" class=\"qowt-li-3_0 qowt-list qowt-stl-ListParagraph\"><span id=\"E353\">Routines are your ally.<\/span><span id=\"E354\"> If you were not \u2018a routine person\u2019 before baby arrived, it is time to become one! B<\/span><span id=\"E355\">abies do well with routines, so this discipline will be good for both of you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E357\" class=\"qowt-li-3_0 qowt-list qowt-stl-ListParagraph\"><span id=\"E358\">Learn basic first aid.<\/span><span id=\"E359\"> You will likely never need to use it but knowing basic first aid, CPR and who to call in certain emergencies, will make you feel more confident. <\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E361\" class=\"qowt-li-3_0 qowt-list qowt-stl-ListParagraph\"><span id=\"E362\">Start a milestone journal.<\/span><span id=\"E363\"> Whilst you think you will remember each of your new baby\u2019s \u201cfirsts\u201d, you quickly find that so much is happening that it is hard to keep track. You will enjoy this keepsake forever. <\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"E364\"><span id=\"E365\">Okay just one more! <\/span><span id=\"E366\">Ask for help.<\/span><span id=\"E367\"> If you, New Mom, are crying all the time or feeling overwhelmed or unsure, ask for help.
