Not convinced? Convinced but tired of fighting with your kids to get them to eat? Here are 5 ways to get your kids to eat breakfast:<\/br><\/br><br \/>\n\uf0fc\tGet them up, get them active<\/p>\n<p>A common complaint from kids is that they are not hungry. Get your kids to bed a little earlier and wake them up a little earlier. Get them to walk the dog or do some chores in the morning to get their bodies awake and their stomachs growling.<\/br><\/br><\/p>\n<p>\uf0fc\tRemove the stress<\/p>\n<p>No one wants to eat when their mom is running around the kitchen grabbing this and throwing that. If you believe this is an important meal, plan for it. Make pancakes at the weekend and freeze them. Cut fruit or set the table the night before. Make it easier on yourself so everyone can enjoy a calm meal.<\/br><\/br><\/p>\n<p>\uf0fc\tLead by example<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrate how important you believe breakfast is by having a good breakfast yourself, preferably eating with them. By prepping the night before, you will give yourself the time to sit down with your kids.<\/br><\/br><\/p>\n<p>\uf0fc\tMake it a game<\/p>\n<p>This is the old standby because it works! Give prizes to kids after they eat their breakfast a set number of times. <\/br><\/br><\/p>\n<p>\uf0fc\tListen to your kids<\/p>\n<p>Ask them what they like to eat; give them the job of introducing new foods to keep a good variety going. Be flexible \u2013 if one morning is tight because of a test or activity, plan for breakfast bars to eat in the car.  <\/br> <\/br><br \/>\nEat like a king for breakfast, a prince for lunch and a pauper for dinner. This old saying is spot on; breakfast really is the most important meal of the day.
