Keeping your kids healthy, whilst not always easy, is at least backed by endless amounts of science. But what about teaching them to be happy? Is that an art form or is there some science behind that too?

Family pets – especially dogs and cats – can often feel like just another member of the family. They bring love and joy, frustration and worry, and sometimes a lot of mess – just like a kid or your partner! Unfortunately, pets generally have a shorter lifespan that other members of the family and it is quite likely that the death of a family pet will be the first experience your kids have with this type of loss.

Moving only follows divorce and deaths in the family as the thing that causes the most stress. And if you are a military family then it is likely that moving frequently is part of the deal. So does military life have to equal moving stress?

If you have a nanny and find that you are too stretched between work and family to attend some of the events and appointments, you likely will be sending Nanny in your place.
