Experience:
I have had several formal babysitting jobs as a teenager as well as many informal ones (having neighbour's kids over for the weekend etc). The formal jobs included:my piano teacher's 2 young boys (age 4 and 6), family friend's daughter (age 7) and family friend's 2 boys (12 & 14, one with ADHD).
I have worked as a group and private lesson instructor for 9 years.
I taught one 8 year old boy with severe autism for one year (one hour/week). I also taught a baby from 6 months - 18 months one hour/week.
As a lifeguard I have treated children have asthmatic attacks on two occasions.
I worked as an English teacher in India through the program YouLead in 2007 for 6 months. While there I was also one of the primary caregivers for the 17 girls living at the school (before and after school as well as weekends)
I have my grade 8 piano and theory certificate from the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music and so could help children practice piano or any other instrument
