Hello to all the families, I have been working with children for 11 years and will break down my experience. I started in Grade 12 by doing a placement as a elementary school as a teaching assistant and completed 375 hours in a co-op program. I would assist the children with their reading and math homework, then assisted the teacher by making photocopies or help with marking papers. After high school I attended Sheridan College where I took Early Childhood Education and there I learned about children more. We learn about different activities to impletment on each age group and I was placed in three placements to learn different curriculums. I graduated college two years later and seeked jobs afterwards. I have worked in several daycares where I learn how to communicate with children efficiently while working in a team environment with staff. They were great experiences because I got to learn about the children and giving them age appropriate activities to do
