Experience:
I am a certified health care aid. During my health care aide training i have spent most of my time working with the elderly. I have worked with elderly who had physical disabilities as well as mental disabilities such as brain injury, alzheimers, dementia, and other mental illnesses. I worked on the geriatric ward at the selkirk mental health center for 2 years. I also did my 8 week practicum at Misericordia Health centre working with the elder. I am trained to do everyday living activities such as bathing, lifts, transfers, errands, cleaning, etc.
