I had the ultimate honour to take care of my mother for the last 10 years of her full and adventurous lifetime.
Because Mom truly loved her independence and the beautiful home she had created, it was her wish to age gracefully in the environment she desired most-by her garden, bare feet in the grass of her backyard and to enjoy entertaining friends and family in the comforts of her cozy place. I supported and accompanied Mom over the years thru all her various stages of health, I assured she was well cared for mentally and physically. I practiced compassion and understanding as I knew how important it was to her overall well-being and pride. I gained excellent interpersonal skills, earned her complete trust and supported her thru her greatest challenge of all-Hospice Care.
