Experience:
I have worked at camps and recreational programs for children with autism and children with various disabilities. I have helped at schools and Ontario early years centres supporting special needs students, as well as a pediatric palliative and hospice facility. I provide respite to special needs children and help run a day program for adults with developmental delays. I am passionate about helping people with special needs become all that they can be and enjoying their lives to the fullest because I feel that they have as much right to this as anyone else.
I have experience with programming exclusive to those with special needs as well as inclusive programming. I can follow care plans from other professionals like OT, PT, and ST.
