My name is Gonzalo. For two years, I lived with my grandfather at ther end of his life while he was at in home hospice care. He was almost completely immobile, and I was responsible for cleaning, cooking, laundering clothes, moving him around, bathing, etc. It was difficult, yet incredibly rewarding. Since then, I have sought to begin work in taking care of people who are not just related to me. I have worked in kitchens, and pride myself on cooking good meals. I would love to help someone by sharing with them my skills in organization, cooking, and cleaning. I think it is the responsibility of those with ability to take care of those without. I want to pursue a future in social work, or a related field, and I believe this is a great stepping stone. I would like to work 1 on 1 with someone in need or elderly, and offer my skills and learn and interact with real human beings.
