I have lived with my grandmother my whole life and I still currently do, she has been through a major illness but shes okay now and is pretty independant but she still needs help with groceries, cleaning and cooking. I am able to cook meals on my own or from a recipe. I can also shop from a list. I am available to play games with senior, go out for a game of bingo or even just keep them company for a while and chat.
