Experience:
This past year, I lived in Sweden as an au pair, meaning I lived with a family and helped look after their 2 sons. This role is slightly different than a typical babysitter because I was with the boys 5 hours every day. Every day would pick them up from daycare and entertain them until dinner with activities such as playing at the park, colouring, reading, active play, or just playing with some toys. Two nights per week I would prepare dinner for the boys and put them both to bed. I also took the boys to a museum and an aquarium on two outings as well. The boys were 10 months old and almost 3 years old when I arrived.
Throughout my third year of university, I also baby sat a professor's son who was almost 1.5-2.5 years old at time. This was usually a few hours per week and my duties were mostly playing with him and giving him a snack. There were a few nights where I did put him to bed though
