Experience:
I've cared for many children over the years, both mainstream functioning and special needs, one of them being my 11 year old son who has Aspergers, a High Functioning form of Autism. I work with my son's school and community in trying to educate people about Autism & Aspergers and the vastness of the spectrum.I have an understanding, knowledge, and respect for children that you cannot learn in any type of school setting and enjoy educating them on every and any level.Some examples of this would include crafting, teaching social situations using stories, and accomodating for each childs individual needs.
