Experience:
My experience in child care has been fun and interesting. I have always loved babies and little kids. At 9 years old i babysat for the first time,in charge of a 2 month old while keeping an eye on a 5 and 6 year old. After that I babysat my cousins up until I went to college,where I had great experience in a daycare setting through my placements. My first job, 3 months before I graduated, was in-home care for a toddler 2 days a week while the mother worked upstairs in her office. The child wouldn't eat for me at first so I had to try different ways to get her to eat,sitting out on the front porch worked great. Nap time was difficult also, I sang and walked around the house until she fell asleep; when she got a toddler bed,I had to get her adjusted to sleeping in it and singing while rubbing her head worked perfectly! I have been working at my daycare for almost 6 years now and I have worked with every age group from infants to school agers.
