Experience:
Since 12 years old I have been providing child care. I began by babysitting for families in my community. At 18 years old I began providing care to children with complex medical and dietary needs and neurodevelopmental disabilities. At 24 years I began running a respite program for children with neurodevelopmental disabilites through the Ottawa Carleton Association of Developmental Disabilites. As a part of a team with the respite program, we provided 24 hour a day care to children with complex neurodevelopmental disorders and a much needed break for parents. At age 25 I worked with youth in the foster care system in Finland and studied anger replacement therapy. Since that time I have been working in Montreal with families with children of all ages and with a variety of needs through the child welfare centre Batshaw Youth and Family Centres. I have recently specialized in family therapy at the McGill family therapy clinic.
