Experience:
I have worked as a nanny twice in my career besides working as a preschool teacher in many different child care settings. The first nanny job I had was in Vancouver and it was a live in situation. I later went to California to live with the same family when the baby had grown to be five years old and she had a baby brother. My duties included child care as well house care details.
Recently I worked for a family for four months while they waited for their live in nanny to arrive.
I worked two days a week caring for a baby from the age of six months to ten months.
I thoroughly enjoyed caring for her so that led me to apply for this position your family is posting. My previous work with children prepares me to understand the role of caregiving to children from babies to preschoolers. My approach is play based as I love to sing and support playful interactions through imaginative and creative spontaneity. I believe in guiding children in a nurturing and positive way.
