Experience:

I have a dog, he is 2 years old, and his name is Mishu. He is hypoallergenic and therefore is not a harm to children with allergies. When I got Mishu he was very sick and had an IV attached to him for a month. Also, I administer medication to him everyday, as he is allergic to certain foods and sometimes gets a hold of the wrong thing, (when my younger brother feeds him table food). I also have had guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and bunnies growing up, and my many of my friends have cats, so I am comfortable around all kinds of animals. Also, I have been trained in Horse grooming, so just incase, I do make a great stable hand.
