Experience:
• Responsible for working one-on-one with children who have one or multiple
different special needs.
• Responsible for integrating the child into the camp setting, to ensure that he/she is able to have a fun, safe and productive camp experience.
• Responsible for adapting program plans to meet the needs of a child with special needs.
• Responsible for crisis intervention and de-escalation of behavioural and cognitive break downs.
• Responsible for aiding the child in everyday tasks such as toileting, eating, lifting to and from wheelchairs, and changing.
• Responsible for assisting child with activities that required both fine and gross motor skills.
• Responsible for using basic sign language to assist non-verbal campers.
