Experience:
I am extremely empathetic, loving and caring. I am patient and have a good sense of humour. I love walking and if possible, will take the person for walks or whatever activities they enjoy. I worked in a counselling department as coordinator, whereby I attended several Mental Health 1st Aid workshops and courses, as well as researched various mental health illnesses for our resource page. I know it's not the same as direct experience, but I have a passion for helping people and am definitely willing to learn and grow with the person. I also worked at Salvation Army and volunteered at a senior home where I often communicated with people with Alzheimer's or dementia.
