Experience:
I was a caregiver for an 18 year old girl with spina bifida, along with other special needs. My responsibilities included planning activities, ensuring that her medical needs were met as well as her mental needs. I have also worked as a figure skating coach for the special Olympics, where I taught an 8 year old boy with autism, as well as a 19 year old girl with down syndrome. Finally, I worked as a youth worker, interacting with teenagers at risk every day. My responsibilities included planning activities, ensuring youth were emotionally cared for, preventing suicide, as well as drug and alcohol abuse.
