My mother has been living with Alzheimer’s disease for several years. She recently underwent a lumbar ventricular-peritoneal shunt (LVA) procedure and will soon be returning home from a short trip. As a maritime officer currently working offshore on a rotational schedule, I have just purchased a new family home; however, my work commitments will prevent me from being present when she returns. I am therefore seeking a trustworthy, compassionate, and experienced caregiver to provide support for my mother during my absence. Live-in care is not required, as my 12-year-old daughter will be staying with her grandmother. However, the ideal candidate will be capable of: •Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, mobility support, and post-surgical monitoring as needed • Responsible for light housekeeping, meal preparation,and general household management • Able to provide companionship and supervision for both my mother and my daughter in a naturing manner.
