Looking for a reliable, independent and positive person to take care of my 64-year-old wife who has ALS (paralysis) for 2 days a week (e.g. every MONDAY and TUESDAY, or 2 other days, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). My wife no longer has any mobility (standing for a few moments), is non-verbal (but communication is possible by electronic tablet) and is fed with purees and a gastric tube. Our home is adapted and offers a very safe and comfortable environment with all the necessary equipment. -TASK: •Transfers (bed, toilet, shower, stair lift, wheelchairs) •Maintenance of the person: -gastric tube -oral hygiene - shower -change of absorbent panties -dressing (nightgown) •Administration of medication (prepared doses) We receive regular help from excellent therapists from the CLSC Richelieu. **Basic CES salary ($20/h) AND INCREASABLE according to experience** (French or English)
