Experience:
I worked PT for one year for an elderly lady with Parkinson's. She needed assistance around her home as she lived alone. The following tasks were the main criteria for each shift:
- Light housework
- Cooking
- Organising/filing papers
- Making the bed
- Laundry/Ironing
- Computer skills
- Watering the plants
- Running errands
- Grocery shopping
- Accompanying to events/appointments
- Assistance with dressing
- Companionship
Once a week I also accompanied the client to a swimming class, where I would assist with dressing/undressing and with exercises in the water.
